Job title: Field Service & IT Support Engineer - Two Positions (IT01)

Job Summary

The Field Service & IT support engineer provides marine industry field services for various maritime satellite systems combining with IT support.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Provide specialized marine industry field services (including surveys, installations, maintenance) for various Satellite Communication systems like VSAT/FBB/IOP etc.
  • Deliver drawings and service reports and ensure delivery in working conditions.
  • Ability to access customer’s equipment and carry/use needed tools, equipment, and laptop.
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues of satellite equipment and IT support on office network infrastructure
  • Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources
  • Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing & switching
  • Advanced networking troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (in English), as well as interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Network security, firewall, RF technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Mikrotik Technologies platform is also a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Overnight travel may be required, domestic and international.
